# Coast Link photo asset and licence manifest

The page uses two verified Wikimedia Commons photographs of real West Coast locations. The locally stored search-result thumbnails and unrelated stock images are not used. Both source JPGs remain in `source-assets/originals/` for provenance; CSS crops the responsive local WebP files to fit each layout.

## Paternoster beach

The hero uses `assets/paternoster-beach-960.webp`, `assets/paternoster-beach-1600.webp` and `assets/paternoster-beach-2400.webp` through an HTML `srcset` with a `100vw` size hint. The verified source page is [Paternoster-beach.jpg](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Paternoster-beach.jpg). It is own work by Peterpanmalini, captured on 21 November 2020 at coordinates `32°48′33.39″ S, 17°52′59.98″ E`; the source page identifies Paternoster. The work is licensed under [CC BY-SA 4.0 International](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/). The on-page credit links to the source and licence and does not imply endorsement. The 4608×2184 JPEG was resized to 960×455, 1600×758 and 2400×1138 WebP (quality 80); those distributed derivatives retain the source ShareAlike licence.

## Langebaan Lagoon

The editorial figure uses `assets/langebaan-lagoon-720.webp`, `assets/langebaan-lagoon-1200.webp` and `assets/langebaan-lagoon-2005.webp` through a responsive `srcset`. The verified source page is [Langebaan lagoon, West Coast National Park](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Langebaan_lagoon,_West_Coast_National_Park.jpg). It is own work by Winfried Bruenken (Amrum), captured on 20 September 2003; the source page identifies the lagoon and West Coast National Park. The work is licensed under [CC BY-SA 2.5 Generic](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.5/). The page caption identifies the photographer and links to the source licence. The 2288×1712 JPEG was resized to 720×539, 1200×898 and 2005×1500 WebP (quality 80); the distributed adaptations retain the source ShareAlike licence.

The build publishes only the optimized responsive WebPs, the custom Coast Link coastal-link SVG (`assets/coast-link-mark.svg`), and this attribution manifest. The mark is an original project asset. The complete photo licence text and source metadata remain available at the linked Commons pages; re-check them if replacing, substantially editing or reusing these photographs elsewhere.
